Natural tones, clearer visual structure, and practical recyclability are shaping what floral packaging looks like in 2026. As color forecasting continues to influence retail aesthetics and as packaging requirements evolve, flower bouquet wrapping paper is increasingly expected to do two things at once: elevate the bouquet visually and fit smoothly into established recycling systems.
Carccu®’s 2026 flower wrapping paper releases reflect these shifts with expressive yet restrained palettes, designs built around clarity rather than complexity, and paper-based materials developed to perform in everyday floristry.
Color trends for 2026: nature, serenity, and soft contrast
Color remains one of the most powerful tools in floral presentation. For 2026, design forecasts lean toward calm, nature-drawn tones—supported by broader signals from the worlds of fashion and interiors. Ritva Borg, designer behind the Carccu® flower paper collections, describes how these cues translate into the new assortment:
“Each year, the Pantone Color Institute announces a color that appears in interior design, fashion shows, and media. These color choices offer guidance and motivation, creating a mood for the year ahead. Based on these ideas, we have created our new spring collection.”
Alongside practical neutrals like beige and gray, 2026 brings soft pinks, matcha greens, and blue-green tones—most notably “Transformative Teal,” named the 2026 Color of the Year by WGSN. Nostalgic retro palettes and subtle shimmering accents add contrast, while the overall visual direction favors clean composition and readability.
In floristry, this movement is visible in wrapping papers designed for loose, organic bouquet styles: meadow-inspired arrangements, visible greenery, grasses, and unexpected natural textures. Carccu® notes that many of the designs are intentionally made to work across multiple occasions rather than being limited to a single season—giving florists more flexibility in daily use.
Four new designs in the 2026 general collection
Carccu®’s 2026 release includes four new designs in the general collection, available on both regular paper and kraft paper bases. Each design frames flowers differently—ranging from botanical richness to minimal restraint.
Green Nature: warm eucalyptus green with grounded calm

Green Nature centers on warm eucalyptus green, one of the defining tones for 2026. The shade creates a calm, grounded impression while still feeling refined. Botanical elements and layered greenery echo the continued popularity of meadow-style bouquets and natural compositions.
“This color is a response to the present moment—simple and earthy, yet elegant. It connects us to nature while remaining refined,” Borg explains.
Påsklilja (Daffodil): early spring in yellow-green tones

Påsklilja introduces yellow-green shades associated with early spring and renewal. The design evokes fresh air, emerging greenery, and the anticipation of flowering fields. Its pattern adds a sense of light movement to bouquets, making it suitable for seasonal use as well as everyday wrapping.
Lupine: country floral romance and abundance

Lupine reflects a return to country floral aesthetics. Pastel pinks and violets, balanced with green tones, create a soft rhythm that complements smaller blooms and garden-style arrangements.
“With this design, we wanted to bring back that sense of romance and abundance—like flowers picked from a blooming meadow,” Borg says.
Noviflora: subtle, pale tones that let the flowers lead

Noviflora is defined by restraint. Pale hues and gentle contrasts keep the attention on the bouquet rather than the wrap. Inspired by the anemone’s symbolic links to anticipation and calm, the design supports refined bouquets and minimal compositions.
“Here we wanted to highlight the beauty of the flowers and their delicate, light color tones,” Borg explains.
Carccu® will also introduce a separate seasonal release later in 2026: Christmas-themed flower bouquet wrapping paper designs.
From ready-made patterns to custom-printed wrapping paper
Alongside its ready-made designs, Carccu® offers custom-printed flower bouquet wrapping paper for florists and retailers. Logos, brand colors, or short messages can be printed directly onto the paper, enabling a consistent branded presentation without separate labels or additional packaging elements.
Carccu® says printing is designed to maintain clarity and color accuracy across different paper grades—whether the result is minimal and understated or more expressive.
Recyclability, certifications, and packaging compliance
Industry discussions at events such as IFTF and Royal FloraHolland have emphasized the value of single-material packaging solutions and consumer-friendly recyclability. In response, material choices are taking a more visible role in floral wrapping paper development—where performance in use and end-of-life considerations are addressed at the design stage.
“We design our paper to withstand moisture as much as possible while still being easy to recycle,” Borg notes.
Carccu® holds PEFC Chain of Custody (CoC) and FSC® Chain of Custody (CoC) certifications, and production follows ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems. The company also references European packaging regulation developments, including the EU’s new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation, as part of the framework shaping compliant material specifications.
